Meet Sue, one of our 119 volunteers in 2017

We are incredibly blessed to be supported by 119 volunteers!

In this last year these members of the Sanctus family have gifted their time by befriending, supporting food bank, running family support activities, teaching English, fundraising, transporting to appointments, giving advice and guidance, representing and advocating... 

Meet Sue.Willoughby who heads up our work with young families and expectant mums.

Along with her team, Sue supports families and expectant mums, being a mother-figure to those whose own mums are far away.

Sue says "I first started helping at Sanctus over three years ago when I heard about the charity through my eldest son. I love supporting parents and their small children.Together with others, I am a befriender,visiting some families at home, and I also enjoy leading the Stay and Play drop in group on Wednesday mornings.  I help with phone calls, try and explain letters and sign post as well as doing lots of listening and occasionally being asked to pray with them.

With helpers, I also coordinate baby equipment that is donated and then delivered to mums to be. This year we’ve helped 21 babies so far! I see all this as a privilege and a way of being God’s hands and feet"
